Introduction

Focus ("we", "our", "the app") is a notification management application developed by Bufraz Software. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

Data We Collect

Local Data Only

Focus does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data stays on your device:

• Notification History — When mute is active, notification metadata (app name, timestamp, category) is stored locally in an encrypted database.
• Settings — Your preferences (mute state, timer settings, schedule, theme) are stored locally in encrypted shared preferences.
• Pomodoro Sessions — Session history is stored locally for your productivity tracking.
• App Filter — Your whitelisted apps list is stored locally.

Permissions

• Notification Access — Required to read and manage notifications. Used solely to mute/unmute notifications as requested by you.
• Do Not Disturb Access — Optional. Used to sync DND mode with mute state when you enable this feature.
• Foreground Service — Used for timer and Pomodoro countdown functionality.
• Boot Receiver — Used to restore mute state after device restart.

Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob — Advertising. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. You can remove all ads by purchasing Focus Pro. Google Privacy Policy
• Google Play Billing — In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information.
• Google Play Integrity API — Used to verify device integrity for security purposes. No personal data is collected.

Advertising

Focus displays banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob. You can remove all ads by purchasing Focus Pro (one-time lifetime purchase). AdMob may use your advertising ID to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

Data Security

All locally stored data is protected using:

• AES-256-GCM encryption for preferences (EncryptedSharedPreferences)
• SQLCipher encryption for the notification database

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all notification history from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data.

Children's Privacy

Focus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

• Delete all notification history from within the app
• Remove ads by purchasing Focus Pro
• Opt out of personalized ads via device settings
• Uninstall the app to remove all data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
